Koror is the capital city of Palau and is the state comprising the main commercial center of Palau, it consists of several islands and is connected by bridges to two neighboring islands, Ngerekbesang Island, Palau's second largest town in the eastern part of the island and Malakal Island, the site of Koror's port. The greater Koror area is best used as a base for trips to Babeldaob Island, Rock Islands, Peleliu, Angar and other islands of Palau.
